Responsibilities

  • Support in the Coordination of current projects by offering technical expertise. (Preparing/manipulating documents and applications).
  • Answering inquiries about projects and services.
  • Preparing Annual Reports.
  • Maintain and update website and blog regularly.
  • Create and design digital and print media to promote and provide information for projects.
  • Work to raise the awareness of the corporation.
  • Information Management (keeping contact databases up to date).
  • Collect and analyze and distribute traffic data information. (Trax Pro)
  • Review and analyse project impacts on the surrounding area.
  • Deliver education seminars to interested community groups.
  • Develop and implement computer education workshops.
  • Maintain interaction with a network of municipal and regional partners.
  • Support GIS Projects by providing hands on training with GPS data collection.
  • Attend meetings on a regular basis.
  • Support GIS Projects by providing instruction in traffic counter installations.
  • Research and report on significant issues on information communication technology.

Skills

  • Fluency with programs such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Geospatial Information Systems an asset.
  • Familiar with fix-wireless broadband technology an asset.
  • Use of integrated marketing mediums to promote new projects. (I.e. print ads, flyers or brochures, Social Media).
  • Web and application development an asset.
  • Ability to create and design graphics a plus.
  •  
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organizational time management skills.
  • Effective multi-tasker.
